Shower tiles are usually installed over drywall and or thin backerboard over drywall.
So in this video i will show you the part 1 where i removed the bathroom tiles.
Bathroom tile is installed to last applied to the wall with adhesive and topped by grout between the tiles to keep them in place.
Replacing the tub or converting it to just a shower was more costly and time consuming than i wanted so replacing just the shower tile seemed like my ideal option and i m extending the shower tile along the back wall as well.
Ripping the entire substrate away is much faster than removing the tiles piece by piece and if the substrate is a material like drywall it s probably going to be destroyed anyway.
This means that it takes more care to remove a wall tile without damaging the surrounding tiles.
